About Me
My Background
Born and raised in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. Rachel Schwartz Bartlett knew from an early age she would be a part of the entertainment industry. As a child and teen, she studied dance and voice, and initially assumed she would make a life for herself on the stage, after appearing in numerous muaical theater productions throughout Chicago.
Following a BFA program in Interior Design - and after a five year career as a private investigator - she headed west to Los Angeles. After quickly landing a job at a busy prop house, she met and connected with many amazing and talented Set Decorators and knew what path she wanted to take. She began by decorating popular reality ahows like BIG BROTHER (CBS) and then spent the next seven years decorating for lifestyle and talk shows like THE STEVE HARVEY SHOW (NBC) and the Faith Hill produced PICKLER & BEN out of Nashville.
Since returning home to Chicago, she is fortunate to have worked steadily of shows like FARGO (F/X), PAPER GIRLS (Amazon), MR. THROWBACK (Peacock/NBC) and DELI BOYS (Hulu). She is currentlt on the second season of Apple TV’s DARK MATTER.
When not working, she can often be found practicing yoga or running along the beatiful lakefront, and spending any and all free moments with her incredible 12 year old son, Lucian.
